Tutorial Separation Studio untuk Separasi Warna Film Sablon
Siapkan gambar yang mau dipecah warnanya, usahakan gambar mempunyai resolusi 300 dpi pada ukuran cetak yang diinginkan.
1. Buka gambar di Photoshop untuk di cek dan disesuaikan resolusi serta ukurannya.
2. Hapus background hitam pada gambar menggunakan tool color range. Karena desain akan disablon pada kain berwarna hitam. Lalu save as menggunakan format PNG biar backgroundnya tetap transparan. Sekarang desain sudah siap diolah menggunakan Separation Studio.
3. Buka file desain tadi mengggunakan Separation Studio.
Gambar langsung terbagi menjadi 9 channel warna. hapus channel yang tidak diperlukan seperti channel blue, purple, dan green.
4. Editan gambar seperlunya untuk mempertegas warna desain. Cara klik kanan pada channel lalu pilih adjust channel. Sebagai contoh saya tingkatkan nilai contras pada channel red, gold, dan grey. Beberapa channel juga sudah dihapus.
Setelah selesai di edit, simpan filenya. File hasil penyimpanan akan memiliki format Eps. Sampai di sini proses menggunakan Separation Studio sudah selesai. Selanjutnya file hasil dari pengolahan ini dibuka menggunakan Photoshop untuk di-split (dipisah) masing-masing channelnya.
5. Buka file gambar tadi di Photoshop, ubah resolusinya menjadi 80 dpi saja, karena rencananya akan dibuat halftone dengan kerapatan 40 LPI. Jadi rumusnya adalah:
Resolusi gambar (DPI) = 2 x kerapatan Halftone (LPI)
Gambar siap diconvert menjadi halftone
6. Di photoshop saya sudah terinstal action script dari Quickseps, jadi untuk mengkonversi desain ini menjadi halftone tinggal klik action-nya sesuai tingkatan LPI yang dikehendaki.
Pilih action script yang 40 Lines Halftone
7. Gambar setelah dikonversi menjadi halftone 40 LPI.
Gambar siap di print.
8. Simpan masing-masing gambar hasil pemisahan channel menggunakan format bitmap grayscale. Gambar siap dicetak tanpa harus menggunakan printer yang support postscript.
